I am inspired by life and how it expressed itself so beautifully. Weaving has taught and opened so many other facets of perception. It’s turned snowboarding into simply a tool to be in and experience the mountains; a way to simply interact with nature in a playful way. Without one, what would we little people do with those big mountains and all that snow?

I watched an interview with you, shown in the museum of Volkenkunde in Leiden. I was impressed by the way you made a turn in your life. From snowboarding back to the traditions of your people. I was still thinking of that when I actually met you at the entrance of the museum. I really thought there was a kind of message in this coincidence. Anyway, nice meeting you this way.
